Burger King launches ‘real cheeseburger’ stuffed with 20 slices of cheese
Burger King in Thailand have launched a bizarre new product - a “real cheeseburger” made with 20 slices of American cheese and no meat. The Thai operator of the US fast food chain announced that the burger was available at its outlets nationwide starting Sunday 9 July. Footage shows burger-lover Thanaporn Chatcharaporn, 26, tucking into the dish at a branch in Bangkok. “It’s very, very salty. Almost too salty to eat. The smell is also very strong. At the first bite, it gave me goosebumps, but I couldn’t finish the whole thing. I wanted to try it just to see what it was like,” she said. The glorified cheese sandwich costs around $3 - slightly cheaper than a regular meat cheeseburger. Pep Guardiola seemingly fails to recognise Martin Brundle in awkward grid walk chat
Pep Guardiola seemingly failed to recognise Martin Brundle in an awkward grid walk interview on Sunday. The Manchester City manager was spotted at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix but appeared less than keen for a chat with the Sky Sports presenter. “You’re looking at me slightly suspiciously,” Brundle said, as he approached Guardiola before congratulating him on an “amazing season”. The awkward interaction came on the same day that Cara Delevingne sparked backlash online for refusing to speak to Brundle.

Watch: F1 legend Martin Brundle’s awkward grid walk exchange with Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne appeared to snub Martin Brundle at the British Grand Prix on Sunday. The motorsports legend turned Sky Sports broadcaster was embarking on one of his famous grid walks at Silverstone when he bumped into the supermodel. “She doesn’t want to talk? But everybody needs to talk on the grid, that’s the deal now,” Brundle said, struggling to reach Delevingne for an interview. The 30-year-old can then be heard responding “No” as he asks for a “quick chat”. “Oh well, I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting,” Brundle says, walking away. ‘How dare they?’: Kamala Harris condemns abortion bans one year after Roe fell
US vice president Kamala Harris has condemned states that have implemented full abortion bans, one year since the US Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade. Roe V Wade was a historic ruling for abortion rights in America, but the law was reversed in 2022, allowing individual states to write their own legislation on abortion. Harris recalled a conversation she had with her husband, prompting her to ask, ‘How dare they?’ of US states that have written full abortion bans into law.

What does the right to abortion in America look like now?
In 1973, the US Supreme Court ruled that the decision to terminate a pregnancy was up to the individual, not the government. Roe V Wade became a landmark decision for abortion rights in America, enshrining a layer of legal protection for women. But in 2022, that law was reversed, allowing individual states to create their own laws in relation to abortion. One year on from the decision to overturn Roe V Wade, The Independent looks at the current abortion rights situation in the United States of America.

Glastonbury regular reveals best clothing to take to festivals - and what to avoid
A Glastonbury regular has been revealing the best clothes to pack if you’re heading to a festival this summer - and what you should be avoiding. Natalie McMullen, 33, says attendees will quickly realise that comfort is just important as style, and recommends wearing dresses, skorts (skirts with shorts attached underneath), and maxi skirts with slits in to marry the two together. “It’s things like that that mean you can still look amazing but you can enjoy the festival too”, she says. When it comes to footwear, however, don’t compromise. Converse, Vans, and Dr Martens have all proven a bad choice for McMullen, who now braves a pair of sturdy walking boots - even if they aren’t the top of her style wish list. Can Apple make us love virtual reality? | You Ask The Questions
Apple has announced a new virtual reality headset, the Vision Pro, which allows people to project any image into the space around them, from widescreen movies to emails. The Vision Pro's USP is that these images remain in your real life landscape, as opposed to sweeping you entirely from your surroundings - so you're less likely to bump into the kitchen table when you're exploring Apple's augmented world. So far virtual reality headsets have failed to hit the mainstream, does Apple have what it takes to make these often nausea-inducing neck strains user-friendly? Sign up for our newsletters.

‘Robot taxi’ with smiling face and ‘ghost driver’ interacts with pedestrians in new experiment
The UK’s first-ever “ghost driver” has taken to the roads of Nottingham in a new experiment. A driverless car was been fitted visual displays to communicate with people crossing roads to determine how people respond naturally to self-driving vehicles. The screen shows different images to pedestrians - including a happy face, a giving way face, and a raised eyebrow. A University of Nottingham study found that, in the absence of someone in the driving seat, pedestrians trust certain visual prompts more than others when deciding whether to cross in front of an autonomous car.
