A prankster wearing a transparent bin bag and shower cap made his way down the catwalk at New York Fashion Week before being bundled away by security. The man can be seen checking over his shoulder before strutting his stuff in front of the audience - who appeared not to notice he was an intruder. YouTuber Fred Beyer uploaded footage of the incident - which happened earlier this month - to his channel on 13 September. He walked the catwalk during a fashion show hosted by Creators Inc, an agency for social media influencers.

In Tuesday's (12 September) Apple event, the technology company announced that the lightning cable is being replaced by USB-C with the introduction of the new iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. It marks a huge change, as the lighting cable has been used to charge Apple devices for the last decade. The USB-C cable can be used to power other Apple products such as the Mac and iPad.

Felipe Massa’s lawyers have started legal action against Formula 1 and the FIA over the 2008 F1 title loss to Lewis Hamilton, seeking substantial damages following that year’s “Crashgate” scandal. Lawyers acting on Massa’s behalf allege that the former Ferrari driver has been “the victim of a conspiracy committed by individuals at the highest level of F1 together with the FIA and Formula One management.” Massa missed out on the 2008 title in dramatic circumstances at the final race in Brazil as Hamilton – then driving for McLaren - claimed the point he needed on the final lap in wet conditions. “Crashgate” rocked the sport when the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix saw Renault’s Fernando Alonso win the race before it emerged that his team-mate Nelson Piquet Jr. had deliberately crashed to bring out a safety car that played into Alonso’s hands. F1 champion Max Verstappen learnt how to drift ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Red Bull star took on the challenge last month at Millbrook Proving Centre, under the guidance of professional drift driver and fellow Red Bull athlete “Mad” Mike Whiddett. “It was really pretty wild, I didn’t expect to have that much grip in the drift cars,” Verstappen told Indy100, before admitting there was a lot of pressure on him to do well in the challenge. “It’s something very different of course to what I’m doing.”

A brightly flashing “X” sign has been removed from the San Francisco headquarters of the company formerly known as Twitter, days after it was installed. The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection said Monday it received 24 complaints about the unpermitted structure over the weekend. It was first erected on Friday 28 July. “As you can see, they took down the X,” social media user @darren_stallcup wrote, sharing a video of the building which no longer features the sign. Elon Musk has replaced Twitter’s bird logo with an “X”. The Tesla and SpaceX founder, who bought the social media platform in October, set the new logo live on Monday 24 July. It is the latest move in a series of major alterations to Twitter since Musk’s takeover. “Soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds”, he tweeted, 24 hours before the change went live. “Larry the Bird” had been Twitter’s emblem since its creation in 2006. The “X” has long been an obsession of Musk’s and is his name for an “everything app” that he has pledged to launch at some point in the future. A Colorado woman broke down in tears after police bought her groceries to feed her hungry grandchildren. A deputy brought food for 71-year-old Vicki Green and her adoptive son and great-grandson after the woman’s boyfriend ate the last food in the home home as the hungry children watched. “I’m going to be here for you today and I’m gonna get you some food for your kids,” deputy Ryan Weiner explained, as Green held her hand over her heart. “I don’t want them to go hungry,” he said. “And it sounds like they didn’t eat last night and they’re not going to eat today.”

Fizzy drink brand Sprite has created the world's first vending machine that reacts in real-time to things that get people hot and bothered. The vending machine at London King's Cross station uses departure boards, social media, local news, station footfall and weather data to detect the annoyances of commuters - and it also drops free Sprite to cool them off. While the King's Cross machine is a prototype, the brand is rolling out more of the machines across Europe this summer.
