A woman was left shocked after being told by airline staff that her athletic wear outfit was "too revealing". Flight passenger Maggi Thorne took a Southwest Airlines flight wearing a pair of Nike joggers and a crop top but was left “just in shock” by the reaction of a flight attendant. According to Thorne, who has seven times competed on American Ninja Warrior, a flight attendant approached her and told her that the clothing she was wearing was “inappropriate” and asked her to cover up. In a post on X/Twitter, Thorne claims she was “shamed” in front of all the other passengers by the attendant “saying my attire wasn’t appropriate”. Thorne continued: “Is this really happening in 2023? The passengers around me were stunned as she shamed me for all to hear.” The interaction took place on Thorne’s journey from Omaha, Nebraska to Nashville, Tennessee. Her trip included a layover in Orlando, Florida and it was onboard this flight that she said the incident occurred. Speaking to Insider, Thorne said: “She came over and asked me about my outfit and said that she thought it was too revealing and not appropriate for the airline.” She continued: “It was incredibly embarrassing." According to Southwest Airlines’ clothing policy, “wearing clothes that are lewd, obscene, or patently offensive” is not permitted on its flights. A man has come under fire for asking his girlfriend to shave her armpit for a family event. In a post to Reddit's "Am I the A**hole?" forum, the guy explained the situation that led to the disagreement between the couple. "She shaves everything else, although she'll happily go kind of long between shaves, but her armpits she probably shaves once every two or three months for a special occasion if she really feels like it," he said. "I don't have an issue with this most of the time, although I'm not really used to this and would probably prefer she shaves, she's really clean and never smells bad or anything." He then went on to describe how his request for her to shave her armpits didn't go down well. "She got really offended and said that was really harsh of me and now she doesn’t even want to come. I don't think I'm being unreasonable asking her to shave," he said. Since sharing the post, the comment section was inundated with people sharing their opinions on the matter. A flight attendant who quit her "dream" job to work in McDonald’s has revealed why she doesn't regret her decision. Swapping the skies for the fast food chain is exactly what Saffron Laszkowicz from Doncaster did, and in a viral TikTok she has opened up about how the career move has proven to be more lucrative. In the clip she began: “I started working at McDonald’s in December 2020 during Covid, I had nothing to do because we were in lockdown.” She went on, explaining that when Covid restrictions began to lift, she followed her dream and began training to be a flight attendant in May 2022. After the six weeks of training, Laszkowicz realised that she would be financially worse off by pursuing her dream career than she would have been if she stayed at McDonald’s. The appearance of a long-haired surfer dude in a vintage picture from 1917 has sparked theories about time travel. The picture, titled “Last Picnic” was taken more than 100 years ago, at San Josef Bay on Vancouver Island in Canada, in 1917. It depicts a group of people, both adults and children, sitting on a hill. The outfits of most in the picture are what would be considered old-fashioned today. The women are wearing ankle-length skirts and bonnets, while most of the men are dressed in shirts and smart trousers, with some even in waistcoats and ties. But, while most of the people in the image are dressed according to the times, some eagle-eyed viewers spotted one “surfer man” who wore baggy shorts and a large t-shirt and looked like he was straight out of the 20th century. The long-haired man has seemingly attracted the attention of those around him as one man next to him appears to be staring at him, while a woman standing on the right of the image looks to be pointing in his direction. The picture was shared online by YouTuber, Jamie D. Grant, who came across the interesting picture in Lester Ray Peterson’s 1974 historical book, The Great Cape Scott Story. He questioned whether the image was “proof” of time travel, saying: “Notice the group, their clothes, their hats. Even how they sit poised for a photo. “Now look closer. In a viral clip that's racked up over half a million views, couple Dani and TBell (@tanddtv) showcase the range of snacks including Walkers crisps, Starburst, a vegan KitKat, Skittles – and tinned mackerel. A fitness expert has slammed Logan Paul and KSI's Prime energy drink and called it their “most profitable scam yet”. James Smith looked at the science behind hydration and claimed that despite the fact the drink is the official hydration sponsor of UFC, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Barcelona, Paul and KSI “don’t even understand” the concept of hydration. Explaining how rehydration works, Smith said that water and sodium are key to tackling dehydration. He said: “If you’re partaking in a sport [where you] lose loads of water and loads of salt [and you] replenish with just water, over time you’re going to create a negative balance of sodium.” While Smith explained that replenishing electrolytes sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, it was sodium that is the most important to replenish. He then compared Prime’s offering to other leading brands, showing that Prime only has 5mg of sodium. It did however have an impressive 700mg of potassium. A woman claims to have been banned from boarding a flight after dressing in cosplay at the airport. Kine-Chan, a 21-year-old model, influencer and OnlyFans content creator, appeared at Navegantes Airport in Brazil, dressed in ‘Rebecca's Cosplay’. Wearing only a black bikini, turquoise wig and black sandals, she claims she was told she wasn’t dressed appropriately and was banned from boarding the flight. Sharing the alleged incident on Instagram (@kinechan2.0) with her 612,000 followers, Kine-Chan wrote: “Xuxus, a very annoying situation happened this weekend!” “I tried to board at Navegantes airport dressed as Rebecca's Cosplay for an event. People online have recently been mortified to learn that some beers contain a product derived from fish bladders. Some breweries use isinglass, which is a gelatine-like substance from drying and processing certain fish bladders. It is part of the flocculation process to alter the colour of the beer. Explaining the technicalities, Craft Beer & Brewing said: "Isinglass is a traditional finings, a substance that causes yeast to precipitate out of suspension, leaving beer clear. Isinglass is derived from the swim bladders of certain tropical and subtropical fish. "When macerated and dissolved for several weeks in dilute food-grade acids, they form a turbid, colourless, viscous solution largely made up of the protein collagen. This material is known to brewers as isinglass finings." "The use of isinglass has declined and today it is largely confined to cask-conditioned ales," Beer & Brewing explained. "Although some American craft brewers also use it to clarify beer without the use of filtration." Guinness famously altered their recipe after 256 years to become vegan-friendly. In 2016, a spokesperson told The Times: "Whilst isinglass is a very effective means of clarification, and has been used for many years, we expect to stop using it as the new filtration asset is introduced." Of course, the use of the substance makes some beers not suitable for vegans. But, in the meantime, there are plenty of alternatives that don't contain the fish product including Heineken, Peroni, Birra Moretti and Camden Hells. The owner of a Chinese takeaway has become an internet icon for her fiery responses to disgruntled customers. Alice Cheung, the boss of Oriental Express restaurant in Pudsey, West Yorkshire has garnered 149 reviews on Just Eat – and she’s made a point of personally replying to every negative one. While most customers award the eatery five or six stars, Cheung refuses to pander to the complaints of some of the “sillier” reviews, she told Leeds Live. So when one woman complained that the food was “terrible”, she was having none of it. The bad review is to cover your error,” she continued, before ending the response: “Please do not call again.” Another reviewer moaned that her meal was “not good, soggy and old” and that she “threw most of it away,” before condemning it for being much more expensive than her regular takeaway. Cheung, or rather Oriental Express, replied: “I suggest you stay with the other takeaway and take your false review with you.” Responding to a one-star reviewer, whose full comment has been deleted, Cheung wrote: “What sort of idiot orders ‘Salt & Pepper Chicken’ and then complains it has salt in it, our delivery record shows it was NOT late and it was NOT cold. “A fake review and derogatory too. Take your foul mouth and business somewhere else.” Another critic – who offered the restaurant a similarly measly two stars out of six – said her meal had been “totally ruined” by “small pieces of battered dry chicken mixed in with battered prawns.” The furious response read: “Will you please open your eyes and read the descriptions, you ordered the ‘Special sweet and sour’ which contains king prawns. You got what you ordered so how is this our fault? “The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We are good but mind reading the stupid is not one of our skills.” Another two-star reviewer failed to write a justification for his low score. So Cheung replied sardonically: “Thank you Kyle, whay?
