YouTuber MrBeast's latest move is a slam dunk. The YouTuber and Greenville, North Carolina, native has announced that his snack company Feastables is the newest sponsor of his home state's pro basketball team, the Charlotte Hornets.

An X (formerly Twitter) post from the NBA team's official account included a video of player LaMelo Ball chomping on a Feastables chocolate bar before wiping his mouth with his jersey, now sporting the brand's logo patch.

Feastables CEO and co-founder Jim Murray told Mashable last year that the brand was "focused on bringing the excitement… the games… everything [MrBeast] built on his YouTube channel to his audience's doorstep and in the grocery aisle." With this Hornets sponsorship, Feastables has taken that promise to the court.

MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has transformed his massive YouTube following into the customer base for Feastables. Donaldson's life-long struggle with Crohn's disease inspired the "better-for-you" snack line, which sells chocolate bars and gummies made with plant-based and organic ingredients.

For fans, a significant draw of a MrBeast-affiliated venture is its proximity to Donaldson himself. The YouTuber's other (less health-conscious) food venture, MrBeast Burger, drew an estimated 10,000 people to the opening day of its New Jersey brick-and-mortar in late 2022. Many in the crowd told Mashable that they showed up hoping to meet Donaldson, or any of his famous friends, in person.

No word yet on whether Donaldson will make an IRL appearance at a Hornets game but it's safe to say that, when he does, he'll be sitting court-side.
