If you're looking to get some sweet footage of the fall and winter sports you're playing this season, look no further than a GoPro action camera. They're your best bet when it comes to capturing the coolest-looking videos you can without the blurs and smears you often get with your phone. Plus, they're a lot more rugged. And since the GoPro HERO12 camera just launched, now's a great time to get the previous model at a discount.

As of Sept. 19, you can get the GoPro HERO11 camera for $349 at Amazon. That's $50 off its normal price of $399 and a savings of 13%. This is the lowest price the camera has sold for over time as well, which means you're getting the best discount available right now. Currently, this price is for the camera alone, without additional bundled accessories.

The GoPro HERO11 comes packed with features that any athlete or outdoor junkie will want to take advantage of, like the ability to shoot video in 5.3k and capture photos at 27MP. It adds an image sensor that can help add a bit more crispness to your photos as well. Given that it's built for you to get out and interact with the elements, it's also waterproof up to 33 feet of water with a water-repellant lens cover and rugged, durable casing.

And even though this isn't the latest GoPro HERO model, there are still plenty of reasons to invest. The HERO11 includes GPS features that the HERO12, according to reviewer Timothy Beck Werth, does not. The HERO12 abandoned these features to gain twice the battery life, but that doesn't mean the HERO11 isn't worth picking up.

Werth also adds that there are only "incremental" upgrades from the previous model, so if you're not as concerned with getting the latest and greatest edition of something, you can safely skip the HERO12 to save a little money unless your GoPro usage necessitates additional juice to keep the action clips coming. Still, there's plenty to appreciate about the newest GoPro, so if money isn't an object, it's well worth buying.
