An OnlyFans star has opened up about how her father “staged an intervention” after finding out about her X-rated career choice. Dre Delevingne spoke to Adam22 and Lena the Plug for their X-rated ‘Plug Talk’ podcast about her mum and dad’s discovery of her page on the subscription-only site. Delevingne explained that within 24 hours of setting up an OnlyFans account and posting a few “nudes”, her family were told about it. “They lost it,” she said, but admitted that she was “happy they found out” so quickly, because then she had “nothing to worry about.” “What was the source of your parents' rage? Just the fact that you were naked in general or was it the fact that you weren't taking advantage of the opportunities that they felt like they had afforded you?” Adam22 (real name Adam Grandmaison) asked. “Probably the second option,” she replied, acknowledging that they were “in shock”. However, she explained that she had always “deep down” wanted this life for herself, but felt that she couldn’t because of her “upbringing”. “[My parents] definitely were like, ‘Why did you do this? You could have had all of this’,” she recalled, adding that her response was: “But that doesn't make me happy, doing what I love makes me happy’.” Delevingne then recounted how her father “tried to [stage] an intervention” by waiting for her outside her home early one morning. “I basically walked out of my apartment and I was like, it's 6am, so I was asleep still and he was right in front of me,” she said. Describing his “rage and anger” she claimed her dad was “physical” with her, but stressed that she accepted this as “a father's reaction” However, she added: “Ever since then we just haven't been in no contact.” Asked whether she’d tried to “make sense” of her career choice to her dad, she said that she’d simply told him she’d “made [her] decision”. “He's like, ‘I'm taking everything away’. I'm like, ‘You can take it away, I can afford everything now’,” she recollected. “It felt so empowering to me that I was like, ‘Oh, no one can control me anymore’. Scientists have found more evidence to suggest that leading a Mediterranean lifestyle could be key to living a longer and healthier life. People who follow a Med lifestyle – including making time for socialising; resting; physical activity and eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains with low sugar and salt intake – are less likely to die prematurely or die from cancer. And those who get plenty of rest, exercise and make time to socialise with friends are less likely to die as a result of a heart attack or stroke. The new study examined data on 110,799 adults taking part in the UK Biobank study. This study suggests that it’s possible for non-Mediterranean populations to adopt the Mediterranean diet using locally available products and to adopt the overall Mediterranean lifestyle within their own cultural contexts Mercedes Sotos Prieto People aged 45 to 70 from England, Wales and Scotland provided detailed information about their diet and lifestyle habits. The researchers, led by academics from La Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Spain and Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health in the US, examined information ON Mediterranean food consumption; Mediterranean dietary habits – such as limiting salt and consuming healthy drinks – and lifestyle habits including taking regular naps, exercising, and spending time with friends. Higher total scores in these categories indicated a higher adherence to the Mediterranean lifestyle, the authors said. People involved in the study were tracked for nine years. Some 4,247 people died including 2,401 from cancer and 731 from cardiovascular disease, which includes heart attacks and strokes. Researchers found that people who followed a Mediterranean lifestyle were 29% less likely to die compared to their peers who did not follow this lifestyle. They were also 28% less likely to die from cancer, according to the study, which has been published in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings. Gerber has announced the winner of its 13th annual Gerber Baby photo contest. On Wednesday (12 July), Madison “Maddie” Mendoza from Colorado was named “spokesbaby” for the American baby food company. Since 1928, the long-standing family brand has been known for its iconic “Gerber Baby” logo. At 10 months old, Maddie enjoys her baby music classes, swimming lessons, and hiking with her parents. Included in her photo submission was a throwback photo of Maddie’s mother, Crystal Mendoza, who bears a striking resemblance to her daughter, floppy ponytail and all. According to Gerber, Maddie is a “rainbow baby” – the name for a child born after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or loss of an infant. “Being a rainbow baby, Maddie has brought us immeasurable joy with every milestone, snuggle, and moment spent with her enriching our lives and making every day more meaningful and beautiful,” said Crystal. “We look forward to witnessing her grow into a kind, compassionate, strong, independent and worldly individual as we hope to be stationed overseas again to teach Maddie about all the different parts of the world.” The baby food company also shared Maddie’s inspiring background, both of her parents being from first-generation families from the Philippines.
