As the United States braces for the impact of another season of the flu, covid and RSV this winter, Genexa’s Kids’ Multi-Symptom Cold & Flu provides a unique offering to help temporarily relieve symptoms such as fever, sore throat, body aches, and cough and chest congestion. This non-drowsy, organic blueberry flavored oral suspension for children ages 4 and over contains 5 mg of dextromethorphan HBr (cough suppressant), 100 mg of guaifenesin (expectorant) and 320 mg of acetaminophen (pain reliever/fever reducer) per 10 mL for effective symptom relief, but without the artificial dyes, sweeteners and preservatives commonly found in other OTC options currently available in this category. Additionally, this product is free of phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant recently making headlines as the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) evaluates efficacy of the oral active ingredient.

Also new to shelves today, the Kids’ Daytime + Nighttime Cough Relief is a day and night value pack for children ages 6 and over made with the same effective active ingredients as Children's Robitussin® Day and Night Pack, but without any of the artificial fillers used in the competitor product like FD&C red no. 40, propylene glycol and sucralose. The value pack consists of a daytime product, Genexa Kids’ Cough & Chest Congestion, which is a best-selling, non-drowsy oral suspension with organic blueberry flavor and 5 mg of dextromethorphan HBr and 100 mg of guaifenesin per 5 mL for effective symptom relief. The long-acting cough nighttime product is a new oral suspension with organic blueberry flavor and contains 15 mg of dextromethorphan HBr and 2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate per 10 mL for up to 8 hours of effective relief for cough, and temporarily relieves sneezing and runny nose.
