Earth Mama, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, tells the story of pregnant single mother Gia (Tia Nomore). Two of her children are in foster care, and even though Gia tries to prove her commitment to them, the system works against her. As she fights to regain custody and support herself through her pregnancy, Earth Mama promises to paint a full, empathetic portrait of Gia's journey through motherhood.
A24 will release Earth Mama in theaters July 7.
