This week, particularly as of Sept. 18, the same upgraded AirPods Pro available for preorder at a discounted price of just $199.99. Down from $249, this 19% discount can only be found at Best Buy ahead of the earbuds Sept. 22 launch date.
SEE ALSO: Apple AirPods Pro with USB-C review: About timeAs far as AirPods Pro deals go, the Lightning port Pros are frequently on sale for $199 (at the time of writing, you can find them for that exact price at Amazon, though the same can't be said for their USB-C counterpart). We imagine that it won't be long before we also see the USB-C Pros dipping to $199 every few weeks (especially with Prime Day 2 coming up), but a good preorder deal is still a good preorder deal.
For anyone who already bought last years' second gen AirPods Pro, we don't necessarily recommend you running to take advantage of this deal, unless you have something very serious against Lightning ports. If you're also grabbing a new iPhone 15, we do want to mention you can use the USB-C to USB-C charging cable to juice up your AirPods with your phone.
SEE ALSO: 17 iOS 17 features we're very excited aboutAside from the charging port, the earbuds have just a few minor upgrades, including an upgraded dust-and-water resistance rating of IP54 and lossless audio with Apple Vision Pro (which has yet to be released to the public). We're not complaining though — the Pros are some of our favorite noise-canceling earbuds.
For everyone else, this preorder deal is a hard one to miss. Backed by hands-on testing, we can confidently say that the USB-C AirPods Pro are definitely worth it — plus, Apple's already phased out the Lightning port version on their website, so you might as well grab the USB-C Pros on sale.
